Over the years, I’ve researched “How to _______” for Network Marketing, many times. You can fill in the blank with numerous items. The interesting thing that I’ve found is that when I find the answers that I’m looking for, they are along the lines of what I was thinking in the first place.

Recently, I’ve realized something about finding the answers that I hadn’t thought of before. What I realized is that in many cases, I had the answer, but was afraid to use it because I thought that it would be wrong.

Training, and educating yourself in Network Marketing is very important to your success, as I’ve stated many times before. You’ll need to invest in yourself if you really want to be serious in this business. The tools and the information are readily available, and there are some great resources that you can learn from.

So, not to diminish the importance of proper training and education, but there is one vital thing that must also be considered. If you want to become a leader, in your organization, then you must learn to think like one.

I’ve talked about the mindset of successful people before. The fact that having the right mindset is the only difference between successful, and non-succesful marketers. On your way to becoming successful, you’ll also likely become a leader. Furthermore, you must be if you want to establish a good team or down line.

So, all of those questions that you start out with in the beginning, you can still ask them. But, before you ask them, think about how you would answer them, for yourself. When you get the answer, compare it to how you would have answered it yourself. Were you way off? Did you listen to the answer and say to yourself, man that makes perfect sense?

In many cases, you may find that you weren’t that far off. So, what does this have to do with developing a leadership mindset? Well, at some point, the same questions that you asked when you were starting out, are going to be asked of you, by your downline.

When you do like I suggested above, and think about how you would answer your own question first, you will train yourself to think for yourself. More so, you’ll gain confidence to do so as you go along.

At the point that you do have to answer questions, you won’t be second guessing the answers that you gave. You’ll be able to lead your team with this greater confidence, and the ability to think on your feet.

You can receive all of the training that you will need, and still be lost if you don’t develop the correct mindset. How you do the things that you’re trained to do, has to come from you. The old saying, that you can lead a horse to the water, holds true in many areas of life. If you want to be a leader in your organization, start being one when there’s no one to lead.
