If you read the first rule, or I should say, MY first rule to Network Marketing, then you’ll understand how having passion helps you in your journey. But, you can’t have a first rule without at least having a second rule, right?. More so, maybe I should call these valuable tidbits of information, but rules sound better. So, my second rule is, exactly what the title of this article states.

Having passion is must for the reasons that I listed in the above mentioned article, The First Rule of Network Marketing, Have Passion. However, being passionate, and motivated alone, will not bring you success in Network Marketing. You still need to have the proper knowledge and skillset to be able to treat and run your business, like a business.

When I first started driving, I was passionate about driving. When I got my first very own car, I was passionate about maintaining it. It was the passion to drive, and to save up to eventually get a new car that propelled me to start driving and saving. Once I started driving, however, I needed to be trained on how to drive correctly to avoid having accidents and getting tickets. I needed to learn how to put air in the tires and check the oil, among other things, to make sure that the car continued to run at it’s best.

Network Marketing is no different from this scenario, or any other scenario that you can imagine or draw up. The need for proper training and education is the most common theme of my blog and will continue to be.

Training and education, is all around us in our professional lives. You have to go to college and have a degree, to get some of the more respected jobs. You have to train or go through an apprenticeship to become a skilled tradesman. Even once you get a job, you have to go through on the job training, so that you know the best and most efficient way to do it.

That said, doesn’t it make sense that you should get trained and educated on how to do Network Marketing the best and most efficient way? The best thing about it, It doesn’t take 40 thousand dollars to receive training. In fact, training can be either less than or about the same as what you would pay for your start up-kits, depending on the company that you join. On-going or personal training would obviously cost more, but isn’t education an investment?

Furthermore, paying a few thousand dollars, to get trained to do something that could potentially make me rich one day, sounds a lot better than paying 40 thousand dollars to do something that will just get me by. Of course, it’s not that simple, but to me, it just makes sense if you look at it from that standpoint.

It was passion that took LeBron James, Peyton Manning or <insert superstar player>, to the game and practice fields, but it was the training that made them good, and the hard work that made them excel.

So, while having passion is a key ingredient to have in your Network Marketing or work at home business, it’s simply not enough. The passion is what you bring to the table, the training is what you are passed, and together, it’s a dish well served.
