The Cost of Doing Business
Now, the deciding factor for most people looking to start a home based business is the start up costs. The premise behind each of the programs that we’ve been talking about is that while the entrance fee is more than it would be to join a Network Marketing company, in the end you’ll be better off. This does hold some merit to it.
The entrance cost to get into most Network Marketing companies ranges typically from $0 on the low end, to $500 on the high end. To get into one of the Online Marketing platforms typically starts around $1,500, if you want the worthwhile package of goodies.
But, with Network Marketing you typically have a high monthly sales volume or quota that you have to maintain in order to stay active. Most people aren’t selling this much product, so they are buying it themselves so that they can get all of their commission.
With our Online Marketing platforms, there aren’t any quotas so that initial investment may turn out to be less than you would have to pay out for a Network Marketing program.
This would make sense if there weren’t so many Upsells to go through to get the entire program for each of these marketing platforms. For example, just looking at MOBE, you are going to have to invest over $24,000 in one time payments, on top of over $300 a month in monthly payments.
In all fairness, both MOBE and Income Society operate more on the premise that you are paying to be more of a franchisee, than just an actual affiliate. You have to pay for the license to be able to resell their products. Looking at it in that light, if you would be willing to own, operate and pay for a franchise, then you shouldn’t have a problem digesting the cost of these programs.
The Commissions
Another strength of the programs is that you can earn 100% commissions on the product sales once you pay for the highest level. Not only that, you are getting access to sell some big ticket items, so you can see some really nice one time commissions.
Isn’t it better to earn $2000 on a one time sale, then to earn that same amount from 100 people at $20 per sale? The thought is that you would make way more money for the same amount of work. This also has some validity, but only when you are comparing it to a traditional affiliate program where the compensation model isn’t tiered. When you take the power of leverage in Network Marketing, it changes things.
The Hype
One of the most unfortunate things that people fall for with these programs is the amount of hype behind them. Of course that comes down to some clever and effective marketing. If you allow yourself to get caught up in the clever marketing, you could find yourself overpaying for the same training that you could be getting elsewhere.
The two programs that I proudly suggest to anyone who wants to run or create an online business is of course, Leaders Club and Wealthy Affiliate.
Leaders Club has been around for 20 years and has actually trained some Network Marketers that have gone on and created their own training programs. They provide tried and true marketing methods and fundamentals, that has worked for ages and still work.
With Wealthy Affiliates, you’ll learn everything you need to know about marketing online, and also be provided with the tools.
Both programs are run with integrity, and have a non-hype, no bullshit approach to how they market and operate.
At $29 a month for Leaders Club, and $47 for Wealthy Affiliate, you get the same level of training that you would be paying thousands for if you fall victim to the hype.
Conclusion
I don’t have anything against any of these programs. I think that they are great programs, when put in the right hands. In fact, I’ve seen that many of today’s top Network Marketers uses one or more of these programs.
There’s two points here that I was hoping to bring across with this post.
Point number one, is that while the programs that I talked about aren’t scams, you should do your homework. For learning how to run and grow an online business, which is the purpose of the training these programs offer, you could be better off with a cheaper alternative that is just as good.
Point number two, is that without the training that these programs offer, some of today’s top earners wouldn’t be top earners. That goes back to the main point of my entire blog, wich is training is the key to success.
I hope this helped shed some light on the subject.
