Having been in Internet Marketing since back in the days when Google Adwords was the ‘flavor of the day’ for marketers, I have seen things evolve quite a bit in the online world. When I started back in ‘09’, you were still able to direct link to offers on Adwords, and things were a bit less complicated.

Afterwards, I went on to venture into the world of SEO and things got a little more involved and complicated. Having no clue of what I was really doing I had to educate myself and pour in hours of research.

When looking at things today, the landscape looks different, but yet the same. Google has become a lot more strict in what they allow you to advertise, and SEO, well, there have been changes in strategies, but it’s still SEO.

I’m a Supporter

One of the things that I absolutely love about doing business online is that is there are now so many opportunities that weren’t available in years past. And the list continues to grow.

With that, there has been more and more Internet Marketing training courses and programs popping up. This is a good thing, of course as it provides people with the knowledge that they need to run a successful business. Unless this is your first time visiting my site, then you should know that I am an avid supporter of people getting training and educating themselves, so that they can grow their business.

Just Push The Button

The one thing that I’ve also noticed is that some of these same programs, really focuses on teaching you how to promote their program.

The nice part about these programs or systems is that they easy to follow as all of the tools, and training is included to help you market online. This makes these systems easy to duplicate which means that sponsoring someone else would also be easier, and you would have a better chance at establishing a good team.

Of course, this all sounds good, but the one negative takeaway about this is that as a marketer, that doesn’t always translate to you knowing what to do if that system or program was taken away.

Longevity

Once you have a taste of success in your business the next thing that you’ll want to do is scale it. Furthermore, the old saying about not putting all of your eggs in one basket holds true as well. Will you actually be able to diversify and bring in income from multiple streams if you are overly reliant on using a push button system? What will happen to your business if the company offering you the training and system goes out of business?

If you want to maintain a certain level of success in the long run, then you’ll need to learn the proper business skills, and at least have an understanding of how each component of the system that you are using would work individually.

So while there are pro’s and con’s to using systems, where everything is automated, and/or packaged together in a nice bundle, it’s important to fully understand the inner workings of the system. This way you are able to transfer that knowledge to any other business opportunity that you may want to pursue.
